Caliza and Skydo Partner to Power Cross-Border Payments for India’s Global Businesses

Caliza, the regulated USD and stablecoin payments infrastructure platform, has partnered with Skydo, an RBI-licensed platform support +20,000 Indian merchants. Skydo allows Indian exporters, freelancers, and small businesses receive international payments with less friction and lower cost.

Together, we’re enabling Indian merchants and service providers to move money globally—reliably, compliantly, and at scale.

Solving the USD Bottleneck

Cross-border business payments between the U.S. and India remain complex. A U.S. company often needs to send multiple small wires to dozens of Indian counterparties, each with its own fees, reconciliation steps, and delays.

With Caliza, Skydo can now receive a single USD payment onshore in the U.S.—through ACH, FedNow, RTP, or On-chain transfer — and route it directly to a Skydo USD account based in the US. Skydo then reconciles and distributes those funds to each Indian business or freelancer.

This bulk-to-many structure dramatically reduces payment friction and cost. Instead of navigating multiple intermediaries, funds move from sender to Skydo, then onward to merchants in one controlled, compliant flow.

USD Accounts for a Global Market

Caliza’s banking infrastructure also enables on-shore USD accounts for non-U.S. companies, giving Skydo and its customers the same account capabilities as their international peers.

These accounts support both local USD pay-ins and pay-outs (for example, from U.S. marketplaces or platforms) and international SWIFT transfers, ensuring Indian entities can receive, hold, and deploy USD seamlessly.

From Digital Payouts to Real Economic Impact

A simple example:

An independent seller in Jaipur runs an Amazon storefront for home goods. When Amazon pays out its global sellers in USD, Caliza’s infrastructure allows Skydo to collect that payment locally in the U.S., process it through Caliza’s rails, and credit the seller’s Skydo USD account in India. The merchant can then repatriate earnings to INR through Skydo’s compliant RBI licensed infrastructure —without worrying about foreign intermediaries, timing mismatches, or excess fees.

It’s the kind of behind-the-scenes plumbing that turns global e-commerce revenue into local opportunity.

A Shared Vision

“Skydo is tackling one of the hardest parts of global trade—getting paid across borders quickly and compliantly,” said Sam, Head of BD at Caliza. “Our infrastructure gives them the rails and accounts they need to scale that mission.”

By combining Caliza’s U.S.-based USD infrastructure with Skydo’s reach among Indian freelancers and SMEs, this partnership bridges two major economies through a single, streamlined payments layer.
