I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to speak at Abracam’s Compliance & Business Day last week in São Paulo, where Caliza was proud to support as an event sponsor. 

I enjoyed participating in the thoughtful panel discussion with Bárbara Cabrera Espir from Bitso, Ibiaçu Caetano from Bitybank, and Marco Tulio from Serpro to talk about stablecoins, compliance, and how financial infrastructure is evolving to meet the needs of a market in search of innovation.

One point I shared during the discussion: 

“It’s very difficult for a company to enter and expand in international markets if it doesn’t have efficient payment infrastructure. We believe that a company in Brazil, Mexico, or any other Latin American country should have access to the same level of infrastructure that a company in the United States or Europe has. And that’s exactly what we’re building at Caliza.”
